Christmas away from home was fine...it was definitely weird in that it didn't have the usual 'Christmassy feeling', mostly because work was just the same for us and Animal Kingdom doesn't have much in the way of Christmas decorations to begin with.
Now that I'm home, I think the weirdest part is not seeing my roommates every day. It's very strange to go from living with seven other girls and then to being the only one home for most of the day. Now that school's started again (and I'm hunting for a job) it's easier to forget about it, but I definitely still miss the people I met the most.
Coworkers at the formal; Zak, Franki, Brooke, and Bernice
More coworkers in line for Everest (L-R) Courtnet, Ryan, and Abbe
Riding the bus after Anandapur Haunt
Andrew and roommate Bree
All the roommates :)
I had a wonderful experience, and despite the hectic days, the cranky guests, and the sweltering humidity, I don't regret a single thing. I miss it a lot (and I mean A LOT), but I don't think a second college program is in the future for me. I have a friend here in Arizona who wants to do a second program, and is trying to get me to go with her, and despite how fun it would be, I know it's time for me to move on to more adventures.
It's weird going back to MCC mostly because it feels like I never left. The entire theatre has been renovated and there's a few new faces, but everything's much the same. I plan on finishing out the semester there (hopefully while working another job), but currently I'm applying to transfer to BYU for the summer (or U of A or Longwood University in Virginia).
I'm still going to keep this blog to record more day-to-day fun things (if I remember...;P), so stay tuned!
Kwa herini!
I love blogs! I'm glad you posted this last one, Corinne. I'm pulling for BYU-Provo!!! I love you. And happy birthday next Friday.
